This was a very simple recipe and uses ingredients that likely to have in the pretty store cupboard!

I will admit that it doesn't taste exactly like cookie dough - which is pretty obvious considering the ingredients, however it is a very satisfying alternative that ticks many boxes! If you love cookie dough like me then you'll also love that you can eat this straight out the fridge as a desert all on its own rather than having to bake it!


If i was back in London and had access to all my faves i would definitely try using vanilla flavored liquid stevia as it is much sweeter. I'd also swap out the regular maple syrup for a zero calorie maple syrup such as this one to reduce the calories.

Nutrition (per pot)

Made 4 pots

301 calories | 3 g protein | 31 g carbs | 8 g protein | 16 g sugar


1 can chickpeas

1/4 cup smooth peanut butter

1/4 cup almond flour or oat flour

3 tsp vanilla essence

1 bar dark chocolate - i used this

4 tbs maple syrup

Splash of milk to adjust texture

Pinch of salt

Here you also have the option of using any type of chocolate depending on what you prefer - chocolate chips, dark chocolate or normal chocolate broken into chunks.


  1. Peel the skins off the chickpeas and wash and drain very thoroughly

  2. Once drained properly add all ingredients together (minus the chocolate) into a large bowl

  3. With any blender (i used hand held) blend everything together until smooth - adding more milk here if needed to smooth and vanilla essence or sweetener if you wanted it sweeter.

  4. Cut up the chocolate into chunks/ add the chocolate chips into the smooth mixture

  5. Divide into as many portions as you want and put in the fridge to set.

  6. Keep in the fridge and enjoy within 4 days
