3 Ingredient cinnamon pretzels!

I never dreamed I would be able to make cinnamon pretzels at home! Especially not with only 3 ingredients. Literally anyone can make these - and they can easily be sugar free if you use sweetener drops or vanilla essence/ stevia drops/ tablets in the dough and sugar free granulated powdered or icing sugar for the cinnamon coating. If you are happy using sugar then that is fine too! I added a little to the tops of each of the pretzels to make them look better!

They tasted like proper cinnamon pretzels and take no longer then 30-40 minutes to make! They are also A LOT healthier than real pretzels and will definitely be my go to from now on!


- 1 cup of yogurt - Any greek/ dairy free yogurt would work, but strain any liquid out as you want it to be firm.

- 1 + 3/4 cup of self raising flour

- 2 tablespoons of cinnamon

- 2 teaspoons of sugar - to sprinkle on the top (optional)

- Sweetener drops/ vanilla essence

- 2 teaspoons granulated sweetener - not necessary if you want to just use sugar instead

- Spray oil is preferable - all though i didn't try doing it by dipping in oil and coating a little in butter and both worked well. (obviously this will add calories)

This made amount 8 small-medium sized pretzels, each pretzel only 96 calories! And less if you opted out of all sugar!


  1. Preheat the oven to 180C - my oven is strong so i had it at 170. Line a large baking tray with grease proof paper.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and yogurt and add a drop of vanilla/ liquid sweetener depending how sweet you want it. Mix it together with your hands until it is combined into a ball of dough.

  3. Lightly dust a wooden board or kitchen surface with some flour. And coat your hands in flour to pick up the dough ball and put it onto the board - press it down and separate into 8 pieces (or as many pretzels as you want to make).

  4. Using your hands, roll out each piece of dough into a thin, sausage shape, around 30 cms long. Try to keep the piece equal thickness along the whole shape.

  5. add flour at any point that the dough, your hands or the surface get too sticky.

  6. To make the pretzel shape grab both ends of the dough and pull into the center, then twist the middle bits through to form the pretzel shape. Place the pretzels on the lined tray.

  7. Brush the tops of each pretzel with either milk, butter, oil or even water and bake for 15-20 minutes, keep an eye on them until they are golden brown on top.

  8. While the pretzels are baking mix together the cinnamon and sugar/sugar substitute into a bowl.

  9. Once they are cooked let them cooled for 5 minutes, spray both sides of the pretzels with cooking spray (or lightly coat with oil/butter) and dip both sides of the pretzels in the cinnamon mixture, until evenly covered. Repeat until all the pretzels are covered.
